Eligibility Criteria

• For Secondary Teacher (Class 9–10, Paper-I), candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in the subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree.
• For Senior Secondary Teacher (Class 11–12, Paper-II), you need a Postgraduate degree in the subject with Second Division along with a B.Ed. degree (not required for Computer Science). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/EBC/BC/Divyang categories get 5% relaxation in marks.

The process is straightforward and merit-based:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): Objective-type exam (150 MCQs, 150 marks, 2.5 hours). Paper I covers Child Development, Pedagogy, and subject-specific knowledge; Paper II focuses on advanced pedagogy and subject expertise.
2. Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60% for General (150/250 aggregate); 55% for reserved categories.
3. Merit List & Result: Based on CBT scores; no interview.
4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates verify originals for certificate issuance.
5. Eligibility Certificate: Valid for lifetime; used for teacher recruitment in Bihar.
