Selection Process

• Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective type exam (Paper-I: 100 marks, Paper-II: Qualifying Punjabi).
• Physical Screening Test (PST): Running, long jump, high jump (qualifying).
• Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Height, chest measurement.
• Medical Examination: Fitness check.
• Document Verification: Final scrutiny.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Senior Secondary) passed or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Punjabi Language: Passed Matriculation with Punjabi as compulsory or elective subject.
• Nationality: Indian citizen.
• Physical Standards: Height – Male: 5’7″ (170.2 cm), Female: 5’2″ (157.5 cm); further details in notification.

• Height (Male): Minimum 5 feet 7 inches (170.2 cm)
• Height (Female): Minimum 5 feet 2 inches (157.5 cm)
• Chest (Male Only): 31 inches unexpanded, 32 inches expanded
• PST (Male <35 yrs): 1600m race in 6:30 min, Long Jump 3.80m (3 chances), High Jump 1.10m (3 chances)
• PST (Female <35 yrs): 800m race in 4:30 min, Long Jump 3.00m (3 chances), High Jump 0.95m (3 chances)
• Relaxations for Ex-Servicemen >35 years as per rules.
