• Candidates must have passed Class 10th (High School) with at least 50% marks and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.

Selection Process

The process is transparent and merit-driven, with no entrance exam:

• Step 1: Merit List Preparation: Based on combined percentage of 10th marks (weighted 50%) and ITI marks (weighted 50%). Normalized for different boards.
• Step 2: Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (top merit) called for original document check at RRC Prayagraj.
• Step 3: Medical Examination: Fitness test as per Railway Medical Standards (A-1 category).
• Step 4: Final Allotment: Trade and unit allocation based on merit rank and preferences.

In case of ties, 10th percentage decides. Around 1.25 times vacancies called for verification. Stipend: ₹7,000-₹8,500/month during training.
