How to Enroll for a New Aadhaar Card

Enrolling is straightforward and open to all residents, including children from birth. Follow these steps:

• Locate your nearest enrollment center via the UIDAI portal (search by state, district, and area).
• Carry required documents, a recent photograph, and attend for biometric scanning (fingerprints, iris, photo).
• Receive an Enrollment ID (EID) slip.
• After 15-30 days, download your e-Aadhaar using the EID and registered mobile number.

No education or age barriers apply—it’s inclusive for everyone.

How to Download e-Aadhaar Card

Access your digital Aadhaar anytime:

• Visit the UIDAI official website.
• Click on “Download Aadhaar” and enter your Aadhaar number, Enrollment ID, or Virtual ID.
• Verify via OTP on your registered mobile.
• Download the PDF (password-protected with your name and birth year).

For mobile: Use the mAadhaar app for instant access and PVC card orders.

Online Corrections and Update

• Spot an error? Correct it easily:

  • Log into the UIDAI portal or visit a center.
  • Update demographics (name, address, mobile) online for Rs. 50.
  • Biometric changes require a center visit (Rs. 100 if not mandatory).
  • Track status with your Update Request Number (URN).
  • Wait a few days, then download the updated e-Aadhaar.

  For lost EID/UID, retrieve via registered mobile/email.
