• District Committee Verification: Post-institute verification

• Fund Disbursement: After verification, via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)

• Minimum Age↓:  No specific minimum age (Must be enrolled in post-matric courses)
• Maximum Age↑:  No upper age limit specified

Eligibility Criteria

• Residency: Permanent resident of Bihar

• Category: Belong to SC, ST, BC, or EBC (Extremely Backward Class)

• Educational Qualification: Passed Class 10 (Matric) and enrolled in post-matric courses like:

  • Intermediate (IA, ISc, I.Com)

  • Graduation (BA, BSc, BCom)

  • Post-Graduation (MA, MSc, MCom)

  • Diploma, ITI, Professional courses (Engineering, Medical, Law, etc.)

• Income Limit: Family annual income ≤ Rs. 3,00,000

• Institution: Enrolled in a recognized institute (listed on PMS portal or registered by nodal officer)

Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2025-26

Document Required

• Aadhaar Card (mandatory for authentication)

• Bank Account Passbook (linked to Aadhaar for DBT)

• Bihar Domicile Certificate

• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/BC/EBC, issued by competent authority)

• Annual Income Certificate (Family income ≤ Rs. 3 lakh)

• Bonafide Certificate (verified by institute)

• Fee Receipt/Structure (from current course)

• Class 10 Marksheet and Certificate (if available)

• Recent Passport-Size Photograph

• Active Mobile Number (for OTP verification)

• Additional documents (if requested during verification)

Selection Process

The scholarship approval process is systematic and transparent:

• Step 1: Aadhaar-Based Registration – Complete OTR on NSP portal or app.

• Step 2: Online Application – Submit details and documents on PMS portal.

• Step 3: Institute Verification – Your institute verifies enrollment and documents.

• Step 4: Physical Verification – Conducted by authorities to confirm details.

• Step 5: District Committee Approval – Final review at the district level.

• Step 6: Fund Disbursement – Scholarship credited to Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT.

How to Fill Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2025-26 Online form

Step 1: Generate OTR (One-Time Registration)

1. Via NSP Mobile App:

   • Download the NSP OTR app from Google Play Store.

   • Register using your mobile number and verify via OTP.

   • Enter Aadhaar number (or EID if applicable) and complete eKYC with face authentication (requires AadhaarFaceRD app).

   • Note down the OTR Reference Number after successful registration.

2. Via NSP Website:

   • Visit scholarships.gov.in.

   • Click “Get your OTR” > “Apply Now.”

   • Use Aadhaar and webcam for eKYC to generate OTR.

Step 2: Apply on PMS Portal

1. Go to pmsonline.bih.nic.in.

2. Select the appropriate portal:

   • BC/EBC: Click “Apply For 2025-26 (BCEBC)”

   • SC/ST: Click “Go to SC/ST Portal” > “Apply For 2025-26 (SCST)”

3. Log in using your OTR number and OTP.

4. Enter Aadhaar number, Date of Birth, and verify via OTP.

5. Fill personal details (name, district, category, mobile number).

6. Update academic and course details (e.g., institute, course name, fee structure).

7. Upload required documents (PDFs) and a passport-size photo.

8. Preview the form, edit if needed, and tick the declaration.

9. Submit with OTP verification and upload the Bonafide Certificate (verified by institute) and fee receipt.

Note: If your institute isn’t listed on the PMS portal, ask the nodal officer to register it and add your course.
